Letting you know what wheelie bin you need
The largest bin we supply is the 1100 litre wheelie bin.
The capacity of the 1100 litre wheelie bin is approximately 12-15 bin bags full of rubbish so, as you can imagine, this size of bin is intended for businesses that generate rather a lot of waste.
It’s not a great idea to go for a large wheelie bin just to cut down on the number of collections you need.
Even if it makes sense at the time you’ll soon find out that, left too long, a bin will start to smell and become unpleasant.
So how do you know what size of wheelie bin to opt for?
When we first begin to work with a new customer we consult with them to find out about their waste disposal habits and to advise them about what size bins to get, how often to arrange waste collection and other factors that will help them to make waste disposal as easy and seamless as possible, while also maximising their ability to recycle and to comply with all waste disposal and recycling legislation.
So in fact, you don’t need to know up front whether you want a 1100 litre wheelie bin, a 240 litre wheelie bin or anything in between – we will design the best solution for you.
That said, if you have been in business a while you are likely to have a good idea about your waste disposal needs and that’s great too.
Details about the 1100 litre wheelie bin
The 1100 litre bin is made from plastic/polymer just like your wheelie bin at home, making it light and easy to manoeuvre on its four casters. It also has a hinged lid and a brake control.
Capacity: 1100 litres
Weight: 65 kg
Width: 1,375 mm
Height: 1,460 mm
Depth: 1,075 mm
The 1100 litre wheelie bin is designed to collect and dispose of most waste types, including general waste, dry mixed recycling, single waste stream recycling (ie. paper, card and plastic) and compactable industrial and commercial waste.
Most organisations require more than one bin, in order to collect recyclable materials and general waste separately.
If you generate large amounts of waste then a minimum of two 1100 litre wheelie bins are likely to be needed.
Of course that also means that you will need room to accommodate them.
If you don’t have room for multiple 1100 litre bins don’t worry – part of our role at Central Waste is to design a waste disposal process that works for you in all aspects.
Whether you need two or three a 1100 litre wheelie bins collected every other day, or just one of our smallest 240 litre bins emptied more infrequently, contact us any time for a free, no obligation quotation, complete with our price promise.
